Description

With its 979 meters of free fall, Angel Falls is the highest waterfall in the World! This unique cascade is located at Canaima National park and was declared by UNESCO as a natural World Heritage in 1994.
This is a place charged with powerful energy, and stunning landscapes. Home of more than 500 species of orchids and bromeliads dispersed over a terrain crossed by beautiful red colored rivers.
Explore the jungle, rivers and villages, traveling in 4WD vehicle and motorized dugout canoes passing through the Devils Canyon a huge gorge eroded by wind and water over millions of years. Finally, after sorting beautiful rapids you reach the breathtaking Angel Falls!

1

Day 1: GRAN SABANA, CANAIMA NATIONAL PARK

Airport reception at Boa Vista and private 2 hour ground transfer to Santa Elena de Uairen. Our guide will assist on the immigration process and continue to the lodge for check in and lunch. We leave big suit cases and begin the Gran Savana tour on 4WD vehicles visiting: Mirador de Agua fria, Velo de Novia, Yuruani falls, Pozo Oasis & Suruape. accommodation in double room at San Fco. De Yuruani. A small Pemon village where you can share with locals and view/purchase native art crafts (-,L,D)

Day 2: GRAN SABANA, CANAIMA NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy a local breakfast and board the vehicle to visit Pacheco Falls, Oso overlook, Kama falls, Kawi falls. Lunch at Manantial a local Pemon restaurant. Continue to Golondrina falls, Manakachi falls and arrival at Kamoiran Indian lodge for dinner and sleep (B,L,D)

Day 3: GRAN SABANA, CANAIMA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast and back the vehicle to drive through the savanah to the natinve pemon village of Liwo ribo where we board motorized wooden canoes and enjoy a 25 min boat ride along the Chinak river and 15 min walk to visit Aponwao falls from above. Optional 20 minutes walk down to the base of the falls. On the way back we stop for lunch and then visit the famous Jasper creak. In the afternoon we arrive at Santa elena and check in at Yakoo lodge for dinner and sleep (B,L,D)

Day 4: CANAIMA

Breakfast and transfer to airport for charter flight to Canaima indian town located also at Canaima National Park. During this flight you will enjoy an over fly of Angel Falls and Auyan Tepui. Canaima is located at a peaceful lagoon on the Carrao River and surrounded by exotic cascades such as the Hacha and Ucaima falls. Upon arrival we will check in at the lodge and visit El Sapo falls, where we will able to walk through the back of this beautiful fall and make great pictures. Return to lodge for dinner and sleep. (B,L,D)

Day 5: ANGEL FALLS

Navigate in motorized Indian canoes through the Carrao River where we will enjoy a walk in the savannah. Next we head up to the Devil’s Canyon – a spectacular gorge with soaring vertical walls and numerous small cascades flowing down its faces. Our route follows the river that receives the waters of Angel Falls. This is a place of incredible energy and beauty.
Arrival to Ratoncito Island and easy hike through the wonderful tropical vegetation filled with small orange and red rivers, huge trees with orquids and bromeliads and rocks painted in green moss, until we reach the lookout point.
We are rewarded with a close-up view of Angel Falls, whose waters free-fall 979 meters through the air before crashing into the rocks below! We may continue hiking another 30 minutes to a hidden pool and take a dip at the base of the falls. Return to camp in front of Angel Falls. (B,L,D)

Day 6: CANAIMA

Today we have a 2nd chance to walk to the look out point or enjoy the camp and take the boat back to Canaima. Check in and lunch at lodge and free afternoon to walk the town or swim, relax in the Canaima Lagoon (B,L,D)

7

Day 7: BOA VISTA

Breakfast and transfer to airport for charter plane to Santa Elena and transfer to Boa Vista. End of services (B,L,-)
