Costa Rica is sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Central America because of its comfortable lifestyle, peaceful democracy and overwhelming natural beauty. The country’s Disney like cast of creatures ranging from howler monkeys to toucans are populous and relatively easy to spot.
This trip is designed for student education while ensuring an unforgettable time! A packed agenda that ranges from biodiversity understanding to Volcano visit, from chocolate production to ziplines and hanging bridges fun, from exploring caverns misteries to museums and local markets visits. This trip will be a once in a lifetime experience.

International flight from the US to Costa Rica. Arrival to Juan Santa Maria International Airport. The group will be meet and greet by AADVENTURES personnel on the outside of the airport. The motor coach, along with the Naturalist Guide will meet the group and assist them.
The guide will introduce himself and begin giving information about the country and the logistics of this day. The group will be taken directly to InBio Park for lunch as well as a guided visit to this place. This visit will give students a better understanding of the flora, fauna and biodiversity Costa Rica contains. This guided walk will take to different presentations that will help them understand why Costa Rica is very rich in terms of species, as well as microclimates.
After this visit the group will continue to the hotel. The hotel chosen is located about 20-30 minutes from the InBio Park.
Dinner is included this day at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, the group will check out and depart toward the next destination. We will make a stop in route and visit Poas Volcano National Park. This park is the second most visited National Park of the country, and offers the visit to an active volcano. Once in the premises of the park, the group will have the chance to go to the visitors’ center, in which the students will learn more about volcanoes, as well as wildlife in the area. After the visit to the center, the group will continue walking to the border of the crater. If nature collaborates, they will observe a huge crater, and will be able to see some fumaroles coming from the hot walls and waters of the volcanic lagoon on the bottom of the crater. This will be a unique experience, considering that not many volcanoes can be observed that close!
After the visit to the volcano, the group will continue its way to Sarapiquí area, located on the northern part of the country. Lunch will be included either in route or upon arrival at the hotel.
Check in at Kinkajou Town. Arrival and check in to Kinkajou Town, this facility was created for students, and offers rooms with multiple beds.
After lunch, the group will be taken to The Tirimbina, where they will participate in a Chocolate Tour.
Later this day the group will also participate in another interesting tour, which is the Bat Tour. Participants will understand the importance of these mammals for the wellbeing of the environment.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning the group will leave the hotel to begin a day full of adrenaline!! They will do two of the most iconic activities Costa Rica is known, a rafting to Sarapiquí River and a Zip line experience or canopy tour.
Sarapiquí River offers class II & III rapids, exciting experience, in a clean and pristine river, in which some wildlife can also be observed. This river is apt for all participants.
The zip line is also a “full-adrenaline” activity that will challenge those looking for excitement!! At noon, both groups will meet again during lunch, where they will exchange their own experience, depending on the activity chosen.
Between activities the group will have lunch on the riverbanks and enjoy a delicious “burrito”!!
After the two activities the group will be taken to La Fortuna, also known as Arenal area. Dinner either in route or upon arrival at the hotel. Check in at Volcano Lodge.

After breakfast the group will be taken to Don Juan Farm, this former teacher will explain in Spanish the way to produce different vegetables, fruits and others in a sustainable way. He will also show us how he produces gas, out of the excrement of his cows. This will be a tour that will teach students a lot about agriculture and sustainable practices.
Lunch will also be offered at this place, and participants will enjoy and possibly try for the first time, some vegetables unknown for them until this day!
After lunch the group will continue its adventure to the Mystic Hanging Bridges.

After breakfast at the hotel, the group will depart towards Cavernas de Venado for this amazing adventure. This adventure will take all morning. Lunch will be offered once the visit has finished.
Once at the hotel, rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the hotel swimming pools!. Dinner will be either at the hotel or in a local restaurant at La Fortuna Town.

Breakfast at the hotel and return to San José. Today the group will do a walking visit to San José, capital of Costa Rica and discover some of the most important and iconic buildings in the city, like the Cathedral, National Park, National Museum, National Theater. The group will visit the Jade Museum and enjoy the interpretation the guide will do. This will be an interesting visit for the students to a very modern facility with interactive platforms.
Lunch will be offered at the Central Market where students will be impressed by the many colors, smells and variety of goods offered here. This will be the perfect place to buy some souvenirs to take back home!!

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Juan Santa Maria International Airport for their flight back home. END OF OUR SERVICES.
