This nature program helps children become more sensitive and conscious to the environment that surrounds them, and through the community and conservation work included, they give back to the land and its people, which will help them develop sense of gratitude for what they have back home. Arrive at José Martí International Airport in Havana and meet our Cuban guide that will welcome you and transfer/escort to your hotel. Continue to stroll the streets of Havana’s Old Town. students will learn about the colonial architecture in the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral Square and Obispo Street, the main street in the historic district where they will enjoy a tour in a shiny classic car to the new town in Havana to see Revolution Square and Miramar. Today travel west towards Sierra del Rosario declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1985. The first stop will be at Soroa Orchid garden a well maintained botanical garden where a biologist will walk you around while discussing about plants and birds. Then continue to El Salto a 20 m waterfall where the students can take a refreshing dip. Continue to Las Terrazas and meet the people that have founded this town in an effort to preserve and care for the local environment. Lunch and Continue to Viñales UNESCO World Heritage site. The group will visit Cueva del Indio and enjoy a walk and boat ride inside this natural cave. Visit Mural de la Prehistoria and a farm on which traditional methods of agriculture have survived unchanged for several centuries. hotel (B,L,D)

Today drive east to Zapata peninsula and visit a crocodile farm and La Casa del Zumzumcito or the bee hummingbird where students will see and photograph this tiny animal. Continue to Bay of pigs to enjoy a snorkeling session with a biologist and hike through the forest to a hidden Cenote where the students will learn about plant adaptations and can dive and swim. After breakfast board the bus to The Botanical Garden, a great chance to learn about local plants and birds. Continue to “Valle de los Ingenios” or “Valley of the Sugar Mills,” so named because it used to be a sugar farm and is a reminder of Cuba’s prosperity. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. In the afternoon, continue to the beautiful colonial town of Trinidad. Enjoy Cuba’s “outdoor museum”. The whole town is like a museum in itself, and you will feel like you have been transported to olden times from the 21st century. Students will visit the local school. Check in at Hotel (B,L,D)

Breakfast and leave for El Nicho, a full day nature hike where the guides will explain about nature and ecology. Great swim opportunity at waterfall. Back to hotel (B,L,D)
