The plains of Venezuela have been the place where I have seen more wild animals in my life, a spectacle for someone who loves nature like me, I would love to repeat some day.

The camp facilities are very basic and sadly are not well maintained, however are comfortable enough. Sadly is possible to find political propaganda at the camp because it was “expropriated” by the Chavez government, however there is not any political or social discrimination, to the contrary, the people at the camp is very friendly and with excellent attitude. They were very supportive and ready to help and support any logical requirement. The food was simple but tasty, with good quality and abundant. Rooms are simple, in not a very good shape but functional. For sure they could be in a better shape. Swimming pool is very small and very basic, actually I preferred not to use it.
Talking about the wildlife experience, it is just wonderful. Hard to describe!!! They have two “safaris” daily, one in the morning and the other at the afternoon, in which you ride in a truck with a guide just to enjoy the animals and the landscapes. In these safaris you can see hundreds of different animals in their own environment. They have some Orinoco crocodiles around the camp, you can see babas, thousand of different birds, hundreds of chiguires (capybaras), monkeys, raccoons, foxes, Buffaloes, turtles, etc. We had Rafael as a guide, which is a great guy who speak multiple languages and who knows very well the place.
I went with my family (wife, 12 years daughter and 7 years boys) and for every body was a wonderful experience. My review did not have the 5 points because of the lack of maintenance of the facilities and the general conditions of the assets. However, I really recommend the visit, specially for those who love the wildlife and landscape photography.
