Flight to Pto Ordaz and ground transfer through Grand Savannah up to the indigenous village San Francisco de Yuruani. Trekking briefing with your guide. (B,L,D

4WD transfer to the Indian community of Paraitepui. Directly ahead of us is the massive, symmetrical bulk of Mount Roraima. Begin trekking followed by our Indian porters. Campsite on Tek River. (B,L,D)

Trek along the savannah crossing rivers and following the long incline that leads gradually uphill to the base of Roraima vertical, 2,000 foot cliffs. Basecamp is located at the foot of Roraima spectacular walls. Here we have breathtaking views of the savannah rolling away into the distance as well as the splendid rose-colored cliffs rising straight up above us toward the mountain’s flat summit. (B,L,D)

Ascent follows a natural ledge along the cliff face, allowing the only non-technical access to the summit. This route passes through steep, jungle-like terrain that requires good stamina but no climbing skills. After 5 hours, we suddenly arrive to the summit gazing at the strange, fascinating landscape. Our tents are pitched in natural caves. (B,L,D)

Full day to explore the fantasy land atop Roraima massive summit. The eroding forces of constant wind and rain have formed giant stone sculptures; house-sized slabs balanced precariously on slender spires; the arches and pillars of a forgotten, imaginary dynasty. (B,L,D)

Begin our return down through the cloud-forest. After lunch and perhaps a refreshing dip in the stream below the campsite, we continue to the Kukenan River and camp at Rio Tek. (B,L,D)

Trek back to Paraitepui. We take final, lingering looks toward Roraima summit, remembering the bizarre rock formations and unique flora and fauna we discovered. Stop for lunch where you should have opportunities to purchase some of the intricately woven baskets, backpacks, fishing bows, arrows, and other local crafts. Night in Lodge at Santa Elena (B,L,D)

Flight to Canaima with over flight of Angel Falls. Canaima town, established in 1950s with its wonderful lagoon, lovely pink tinged beach, exotic tropical setting and comfortable cabins, make it an ideal jungle spot to relax and enjoy nature. Boat trip across the lagoon and hike to El Sapo Falls, where we can enjoy the refreshing spray of the cascades as we walk behind the waterfall! Return to lodge. Sleep in Canaima lodge. (B,L,D)

Navigate in Indian canoes through the Carrao River and walk in the savannah. Next we head up to the Devil s Canyon – a spectacular gorge with soaring vertical walls and numerous small cascades flowing down its faces. Our route follows the river that receives the waters of Angel Falls. This is a place of incredible energy and beauty.
Arrival at our jungle camp in front of the waterfall, and free time to explore the island. (B,L,D)

1 Hour hike through the wonderful tropical vegetation filled with small orange and red rivers, huge trees and rocks painted in green moss, until we get to the Laime lookout point, where we are rewarded with a close-up view of Angel Falls, whose waters free-fall 979 through the air before crashing into the rocks below! Optional 30 minute hiking 30 to a hidden pool and take a dip at the base of the falls. Lunch and boat back to Canaima Lodge. (B,L,D)

Following, we will depart on a Boat trip to one of the 40 pristine islands, where we will have chance to relax and swim. In the afternoon return to town where you will have free time to walk around and see the sunset from one of many viewpoints. (B,L,D)

There is no pic that can capture the beauty of landscapes in this tour, If you like true unspoiled nature trips, this is a must choice. Also, good service from Akanan Amazing Adventures. A bit hard moving around from each destination, but totally worth it. I also liked the small lodges in Gran Roque so you end in a place for true relax… Its like REALLY getting away for a few days!
