The tropical rainforest melts down in the Pacific Ocean and creates an unique setting for a spiritual and healing experience. El Almejal Lodge (2019 national tourism award) is perfect for those who love nature and look for a relaxed trip. Whales come every year between June and November to mate, nurse their calves, and enjoy the warm waters of the Pacific Coast of Colombia. You will enjoy Yoga sessions; whale watching and participate in the conservation and release of marine turtles that are born here every year.

TRIP DETAILS
Arrival in Medellin International airport. Meet with our staff and transfer to the Hotel.
Breakfast at hotel in Medellin and private ground transfer to the Domestic airport to take one hour flight to Bahia Solano. We board the small 4WD vehicles and take the 15 km jungle ride to the Lodge located on the beach of el Valle Town. After check in and lunch we hike through the rainforest to learn about the adaptation of plants and the importance of water for life and learn about the ecology projects of the lodge. Participants will receive a brochure of the rainforest wildlife. After Dinner we will enjoy a Video presentation by one of the biologists, guides. (B/L/D)

Early Yoga session with sun salutations overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Breakfast and then we head out for a jungle walk to observe plants, birds, reptiles and butterflies . In the afternoon we will learn about the natural history of the sea turtles, the importance of their ecosystem, the danger that the sea turtles are facing for contamination and human irresponsibility. Then visit a conservancy site and participate in the release back to the ocean of baby sea turtles.(B/L/D)

Early Yoga session with sun salutations overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Breakfast and trip to Utria national park. This 40-minute boat ride will take us along the shore with great opportunities to sea Whales Dolphins and turtles. Here the students will experience rainforest, mangroves and ocean. With the assistance of local park ranger, we will walk on a bridge over the mangrove where participants can learn about this ecosystem and the importance of tides. After lunch on the way back we stop at the coral reef and enjoy a snorkeling session. Back to the lodge for dinner and rest (B/L/D)

Breakfast and back to the boat for a 2nd whale watching session ending at a desolate beach where we will explore/ discover beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear wells where we can jump and enjoy a fresh swim. Along the beach, we will find a spot for our Yoga practice. Back to the lodge and after dinner we will gather around the campfire to enjoy a cultural dance / performance by the local community (B/L/D)

Last morning to enjoy the beach before ground transfer to the airport to take flight back to Medellin. Free afternoon to visit museums, parks or Metro Cable. Back to the hotel . (B/-/-)
