Day 02 Isabela Island
Explore the bay by boat, hike lava trails, swim at Las Grietas, and snorkel with marine life. Enjoy lunch in Puerto Ayora, then take a water taxi to Isabela Island. This pristine island features unique wildlife including marine iguanas, flamingos, giant tortoises, and endemic penguins. Relax at your hotel.

Bike through Isabela Island's diverse ecosystems: explore wetlands filled with tropical birds, visit the historic Wall of Tears from the penal colony era, spot marine iguanas at black-lava Playa del Amor, and learn about tortoise conservation efforts. After lunch in Puerto Villamil, snorkel at dramatic Tintoreras Islet, swimming with rare Galapagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, and reef sharks.

Day 04 Sierra Negra Volcano
We’ll venture to the highlands of Isabela Island for a trek to the stunning Sierra Negra Volcano, home to one of the largest volcanic calderas in the world, measuring nearly 6 miles in diameter. This trek is approximately 10 miles round trip, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and the opportunity to witness the unique geological features of this volcanic region.
As we hike along the rim of the caldera, we’ll observe the fresh volcanic material left behind from the most recent eruption in 2018.Â

Explore Los Tuneles, an iconic snorkeling site formed by ancient lava flows creating dramatic tunnels and arches. Observe blue-footed boobies performing courtship displays on volcanic formations. Dive into crystal-clear waters to snorkel among reef sharks sheltering in tunnels, graceful sea turtles, golden eagle rays, and playful sea lions. After lunch aboard, visit nearby El Finado sanctuary, where manta rays and stingrays glide through pristine underwater landscapes.

Day 06 Kayaking & San Cristobal Island
Kayak through dramatic volcanic islets with narrow underwater canyons teeming with diverse marine life. Paddle alongside playful Galapagos penguins, diving blue-footed boobies, and curious sea lions in this magical Pacific experience. Return to your hotel for checkout and a leisurely lunch, then transfer to Isabela's Airport. Take a scenic island hopper flight to San Cristobal Island, the easternmost and fifth-largest island in the Galapagos archipelago.

Day 07 Kicker Rock
Journey 50 minutes across sapphire waters to iconic Kicker Rock, a dramatic 500-foot volcanic formation rising majestically above the ocean. Snorkel in the channel cutting through this natural gateway, encountering white-tip reef sharks, rays, playful sea lions, graceful sea turtles, and schools of vibrant fish. With luck, spot elusive hammerhead sharks in the depths. Two snorkeling sessions offer ample time to explore this extraordinary underwater paradise.

My son and I visited Roraima with Akanan Adventures. It was a fantastic trip (10 out of 10)It was great being on the top of Roraima without anyone outside of our group. What a spectacular place. Our guide, porter and cook were terrific! Highly recommend them

We did a 6 day 5 night trek and loved every second of it. We had a team of 5 Pemon porters, all from the same family and they were terrific. If you like adventurous hikes, and prefer to be away from crowds of people then Roraima/Kukenam should absolutely be on your list of treks to do.
